Brake pads best for track with k sports
I was out last Friday at Blyton on a really wet day , the k sport 8 pots did the job and stopped very well but noticed the new blue stuff NDX pads powder like crazy !
I'm out again on the 29 th and want to change the pads but to what ds2500 your thoughts please

Hi Lee
I would suggest PF pads,we are now running only Z-Rated pads which are less dusty than DS2500(DS2500 are dusty) and mainly with Z-rated pads braking improved dramatically.
For your needs i would go like with PF .01 or .08,best is speak to the Alyn@AS Performance .
Second thing which I would suggest is brake fluid,we are using now PF RH665

If by powdering you mean brake dust, the NDX is a fairly low dusting pad for it's type. For road and track use I would struggle to recommend something which would do the job and dust less.
I don't think you will like DS2500s after using NDX.
PF Z compound are good enough, but don't have the temperature range of the NDX which are more similar to PF 01 at the hot end but with better cold performance.
EBC Orangestuff are a bit more dusty, but have greater bite and hot performance.

if your using a pad/material beyond its design upper temperature limit then dusting/fade/etc. can all become more pronounced
personally find NDX to be extremely poor O/all and especially on track...........
not sure of your car spec Lee, but bear in mind you need to consider potentially upgarading or "balancing" the reasr also as that may well be the cause of any front issue......

Expensive mate, cant remember as I bought front and rears together, total bill was around £450 lol
Worth it though, so much more feel than compared to the ds2500's I had before and they work great on track, loads of bite, dont need to brake as hard to slow down quicker if that makes sense.

Carborn Lorraine rc6 are excellent no fade at all just keep going on and on.
Bad bits- dusty and squeak when town driving
Did Cadwell last weekend and were awesome.
Cheap prices aswell, no bedding in process either and bite instantly wet or dry
Google reviews.
I've had ndx and ds2500 and they out preformed my mates orange pads

It does yes, but you can only get better bit by bit, we all learn the hard way by people saying x,y,z is good until you push them to limits.
Think cl rc6 come in comparison with the likes of pagid rs and pf and carbotech, at a cheaper price.

Hmm, I use NDX bluestuff myself with my 8 pot k sports (330mm) coupled with ndx bluestuff pads at the rear (standard size discs), and I think they work a lot better than the DS2500 I used to use before.
I'm not saying the NDX is the best pad in the world, because I haven't tried the Pagid, but I have absolutely no complaints about the NDX. Yes, they're a bit dusty, but on the other hand they're not your average street pad either.
I've never had brake fade since I fitted mine, including a lot of time around brands hatch and cadwell park.

lee, aren't you in a lightweight classic as well? I'm in a comparably heavy new age and have no fade issues, so it might be some other issue than the pads.
I also don't have any fancy fluid, just some fresh halfords 5.1 stuff.

The ones i've tried:
DS2500 - not overly impressed
Carbotech - brilliant, but squeel like a bitch, and lots of aggressive dust (ruined the wheels)
Bluestuff NDX - pretty good, but didn't inspire confidence on track. Quite inconsistant
PF (not sure which compound) - very similar to the Carbotech pads, didn't squeel as much though. Dusty.
I'm going to try the Pagid RS29's next, will be ringing Alyn @ AS Performance for a set, might stick a set of Orangestuff NDX's in aswell to try

Agreed on the DS2500 which has been dusty, braking performance has been OK(would say average)
Carbotech would love compare them, tried them only on the EVO and love them there
Bluestuff NDX tried them and hate them, can be good on the classic, but on new age has been just too much
PF Z-rated pads we have now and would say they're not dusty if I comparing them to the DS2500 or NDX to anything what we are tried
