What to buy?
Evening all I currently have a classic running 350ish bhp and I may be coming into a few quid soon and I am trying to decided if I stick with my classic and spend the £6-8k on that or buy a different scooby if the latter what can you guys suggest? I fancy a wrx sti but not sure what one to buy or avoid and what year car does the more expensive car tax bracket fall into. Must mention when I buy another Scooby I will want to modify it to get more power and improve handling etc but I want the best possible car to start with so hopefully I can avoid a gearbox change etc. thanks in advance I look forward to your suggestions

None... They cost too much in the long run. Blob/early hawk sti.
Both 6speed
blob=2 liter
Hawk=2.5 liter with hg issues. Make sure the hg has been attended too/ factor the cost of repair into the price.
Personally i would get the hawk. Much better looking and driveablility is much better. I might know someone looking to sell a hawk soon.

For 6 -8k I would go for a blob sti , either jdm one or uk spec , both are a good base car to modify, not sure how much power you want , but standard engines can take 450 bhp with supporting modifications, and you have 6 speed gearbox, better brakes to start with
