Exclamation slight tapping noise concern

I may be worrying over nothing, but hopefully someone can help:

I hear some tapping when car accelerating (gently!) from cold and hot. It's not any louder with the window down either - I have to listen out for it over the exhaust noise.

It idles fine when cold and hot. Sharp acceleration doesn't cause any issues.
Again fine when diddling along 30mph+ in 5th/6th.

Tappets (sp??) and sticky pistons have been suggested, just wonder what else it could be or are my ears just over sensitive

2001 remapped jdm Sti V7

Just been reputable garage and after a run and some testing, I'm getting the injectors cleaned next week, as one was noisy. Fingers crossed problem solved!

Is it worse when cold?

It took about 10 mins to diagnose the ticking noise with a road run and finger on throttle, and he listened to each of the injectors and one was particularly noisey. Otherwise he said engine ran fine - I'll suggest it to them on Tues when I am going up, thank you

Very grumpy woman!!!

Injectors cleaned, 1 was bad and all seals done, goodo. Apparently noise has gone.
However found slight oil leak on rocker gasket cover and fault codes in memory. Phoned the stealer that sold it to me and got the 'If we can service Ferraris and helicopters we can service a Subaru', plus it's covered under warranty. Am I **** taking it back there to be repaired

What sort of garage work on Ferrari's and Helicopters?
Those two are different enough, without throwing a Scoob into the mix, who's the garage?

Castle Motors, Liskeard.

They will honour the warranty even though it will run out on the 1st, as I am getting married on the 25th then straight on a driving honeymoon holiday after. I have been assured that the work can wait until after, otherwise it has to be done this week not like I have other things to worry about

it's air flow meter fault code. Going to stealer tomorrow to get the oil leak fixed and deal with the fault code.
