Default Tractor sound after hols

Never left the scoob for 2 weeks but after id been burning my moobs in spain i went to my dads to get it from his house and when i started it it sounded very rough like a tractor.

I only presume due ito it being stood for 2 weeks the oil had drained off everything.

It was fine after about 3 seconds but not a great sound when you come, home, the cars fine now done another 1500 in her.

But am i right is that a common thing for a boxer engine stood, maybe next time i get my dad to turn her over once a week

You did 1500 miles in it before raising concern LOL.

1500 miles to me would be 3 months running

the new saloon Rob.

I know the previous WRX-S always seemed as though the Batt was low if you left it for a good 2 weeks

it had been sat in my dads garden baking. then rained on

I can't see it being piston slap in a new 40k motor. Try and leave it for a while again and see if you can recreate the effect, if so it would be back to h dealer for me.

The time to have worried would have been you came back from Spain got to the car and it had an extra 1500 miles on it and it sounded like a tractor ...

I reckon your dad took it out and gave it a seriously good ragging!

I always turn the engine over without firing for a few seconds after it has been standing more than a couple of days. Accelerator flat to floor and turn ignition key (MY06). (But it sounds like a tractor the whole time anyway.)
