I'm new an going to look at a tsl333
Hi everyone, I'm 28 and from Essex, and am going to look at a 2004 Wrx Sti with the tsl 333 upgrade. I'm just wondering what things should i look for and if anyone has had any experiences with this package. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I had a newage through my hands with this package fitted. From memory it consisted of an exhaust system, panel filter and a map. Along with a pretty TSL 333 sticker on the boot..
Expensive package to buy and offers a nice little boost in power without stressing anything.
Just make sure the engine sounds sweet with no odd noises, and that the history file is up to date with all the services carried out on time and at the correct intervals.

The car I'm looking at is at a dealers. It's a "53" plate with 50k, 2 owners (both brothers), just had a clutch but I think its been sitting there for about 6 months because the tax ran out in march. What are the service intervals? This is the first Jap car I'm going for so not really upto scratch with the technicalities lol.

If its done 50K then it should of just had its major service including cambelt etc etc.
Service intervals are IIRC 8K. The history is important, a well cared for Impreza will ultimately be a reliable one.

Ok mate, cheers! Apparently there's alot of paperwork with it, so I'll have a good look. What's the average cost of a major service? What's the cost of cambelt replacement? Just so that I can get the price down if it hasn't been done lol!

Well went to see it again yesterday. The dealer put it through an mot while I was there. It failed on to front tyres and a bulb, and had no advisories. He's going to put 2 potenza re050a's on it to match what's already on there, change the cambelt with a full kit, service it, re mot it and give me a 3 month parts and labour warranty on all mechanicals. I've left a fully returnable deposit as I want the car inspected by a mechanic of my choice which he's ok with. So hopefully should be picking it up in 2-3weeks.

The TSL333 was a better alternative to the Prodrive PPP as It has a bespoke map and, depending when it was converted, probably mapped by either Paul Blamire of Zen or Richard Bulmer of Tracktive.
