Nur Spec R db level on trackday
Anyone done a trackday with a Nur Spec R and been refused?
I've got the bung for it but no way of measuring the db level so wondered if anyone else had tested theirs?
I'm booked on track at Trax in a couple of weeks and dont want to get turned down.

Even with the bung I think you'll struggle - I thought they were into the hundred plus figures with the bung and worse when it's out
This is the main reason I got rid and bought a quieter one

Are they really that bad?
I'm semi looking into getting one soon, currently have a ful H&S angled rear, but fancy the straight exit look and the general design of the Blitz.
You recon its a bad move?

Without the bung in it has a very loud deep rumble, with the bung in it really supresses the noise and has more of a bark. I actually prefer it with the bung in, but its still loud(ish).
Think I might have a mate who can lend me a centre section with resonator so I should be ok.

If you have one of those smart phones 'init' most ap stores do a db meter, some better than others so check reviews. Also check what 'weighting' scale the testers use so you can get the best result when trying it ur self. I did mine via an iPhone and then got metered at a track and was within 2db of my results which wasn't bad. Worth a shot anyway.

Really? my mate swaps his back box all the time on his Nur Spec and has the full system. We did Bruntingthorpe the other day and he just changed it for another quieter backbox without any modifications
