Default Stitch welding

I'm about to start a new age track car build from a bare shell up, I will start a thread in the project section soon.
I'm having a full multi point cage fabricated & welded in to the shell. My question is - is having the shell stitch welded at the same time a worth while option? It will obviously cost quite a bit more. The car will only be used for fun track days and runs at pod.
What are peoples thoughts on this? My thoughts are that the fully welded cage should stiffen up the shell enough?

I would say by the time the cage goes in it would be stiff enough for what your going to be doing

I did consider stitch welding when building my road rally car but taking some advice decided against it due to the fact that if anything gets bent it's easier to straighten.

This is my thinking also. Plus it's extra money saved towards other parts.
