Default How many remaining Litchfield Type 20 'Mk 1s'?

I was wondering how many of the first Type 20s were left. I'm sure I read that only about ten were built.

That's the 2.0 litre 2004/5 Blob model, not the Hawks incidentally.

I know of one, but are there many more of them out there?

Thanks for any replies.

I always thought there were more than that. I guess only Litcho knows for sure, as I'm not sure they were numbered like the T25s.

The T25s were mostly blobs. It took Litcho a long time to decide what to put in the Hawkeyes and sort it (Cosworth engines etc), and with the hatchback coming out relatively quickly (and no T25 version AFAIK) there weren't that many of them.

The T20s didn't have build number plates like the T25s, and I'm not sure where I read about the numbers of them built either, so please don't take that as gospel.

Does anyone know of any of the remaining original T20s please? I should add it's purely for personal interest, no alterior motive.

Thanks folks.

A guy on my local site has a Litchfield type-25 (number 57) for sale for £30k.

It also says in the thread that there are only 12/13 left of them when he last spoke to Mr Litchfield.

That's interesting, but does anyone know about the Mk1 Type 20s please?

There is also the 2003 models to consider.

The mods to get the car to T20 were backwards compatible.

My car is effectively T20 but not badged. Which leads onto how many are T20 spec but not badged as such. I suspect T20 and non badged there a quite a few from 2003 to 2005.

I'm not aware of what was done at Litchfields with earlier cars but interested to hear about it, so thanks for that.

My understanding of a Mk1 T20 was a Litchfield imported JDM widetrack 2005 model with DCCD, AST coilovers, Whiteline ARBs, anti-lift kit, Milltek exhaust and the other odds and ends that go with it.

So is it correct that there are earlier versions?

Yes, there were versions before the MY05 cars were introduced. No idea how many, but there were a few retro-fitted as T20s (and at least one T25). One MY05 T25 even had the full Cosworth setup retro-fitted.

I suspect Iain is the only person able to give you the information you want. He seems to keep tabs on most of "his" cars.

I have a 2003 Spec C Type 20 without the badge. You could choose from a JDM Spec C or JDM STI. All the engine and suspension mods set-up by Litchfield/Powerstation at the time. They were/are standard packages by these tuners.

Thank you both, you learn something every day. I've a feeling my original question no longer makes sense.
