Contemplating breaking
Just wondering on what you lot think, i have a 2002 sti prodrive that some lil **** crashed into and its all going threw insurance but it will be written off just cause of the price of parts and labour.
-front bumper
-o/s wing
-1x alloy
-o/s hub
-o/s bottom arm
-o/s mirror
- respray on one side
So im in the thought of thinking ill buy it back but is it worth doing a hawkeye conversion on it or cause of how much i spent on it and bits that are on it shall i just break it.....

this happened to emmaroids car it was written off and she bought it back and i repaired it
she bought a bumper, front wing and rear door from a breakers, only the bumper needed spraying.
nothing structural was damaged and it took me about a day to change the parts.
id buy it back mate and do a hawkeye conversion as you need to get one side painted and if its not structural once you fit the hawk slam panel everything should bolt up.

Sorry to hear the bad news re the damage.
I'd probably be interested in the alloys (if they're bugeye STi originals) and maybe the turbo and injectors if you do decide to break it.

Buy back cost is approx 21% of the settlement figure, less excess also, So if they gave you £5K for example the buyback cost would be £1050 excess depends on what you have on your policy, say another £400, So you would get the car and approx £3.5K in your pocket to do any upgrades if you keep it, I`d be tempted to break it depending on if it was a cat C or D, as by the time you had sold every thing it would be around the £7.5-8K, You might as well but a non accident damaged hawk and start again, LOL
I pulled £6,5K out of an MY02 WRX 18 months ago but it did have some nice bits on it, Just to give you an idea.
