Default Classic Type RA vs UK

I'm thinking of getting another scoob and have always fancied an RA.
Are the figures slightly exagerated - 0-60 under 5 secs?

Anyone had a UK classic and RA?
I liked my year 2000 UK turbo, tight and a little hard ride and might go for another but might just try the RA, or another Honda S2000!

if you choose the scooby RA all the way or even better is a Type R which is the 2 door.

But you'll be better off buying the S2000, they drive great, dont go wrong and can be tuned to the hilt out of the box as they have forged internals as standard and are good for 500bhp.

My best mate has one and i love it, think i'll be having it off him at some point.

I went from a tuned UK turbo to a standard sti ra ..

Completely different cars....the sti ra eventually tuned to 380bhp did 0-60 on proper timing gear at trax in 3.59 secs.

Not exaggerated, but as above. You have to be brutal.

WRX RA - 1:30

WRX Type RA STI - 5:20

Although it doesn't record 0-60 times, but the quarter miles are all done within 13 secs, which should give you an idea how quick these cars are.

The older the Type-RA the shorter the gearing. A & B Series cars can do that, but as they got older and fatter, they got slower too.
