Thisll surprise some, but I have a question (and my head is completely full of Porsche turbo stuff now, causing me to forget much of what I know about Imprezas):
Is the boost solenoid the mechanical link between the ECU and the wastegate, enabling the ECU to control boost pressure by reducing flow of exhaust gas to the turbine? This function on a 944 Turbo is performed by the cycling valve (unless you have a manual or electric boost controller, in which case its the Dawes or the A'PEXi or Greddy or whatever which controls this, either indirectly with the MBC or directly with the EBC).
