Did the p1 go up to a 51 plate?

I always thought they stopped at Y ?

There's a clean example for sale on a 51 but didn't no wether they went to that

 

There was around 10 on a 51 plate as far as I recall

 

More than 10, mine is 0961/1000 original plate was a 51 plate

They originally produced 500 P1's and those sold out so they produced 500 more, those didnt sell out so they ended up with a surplus and pre registered the last of them on 51 plates (also definately more than 10, probably more like 100), hence you see the W, X, Y and 51 plate cars.
