Default Well pissed off not 300bhp but 215 bhp :(

think i may have been conned bought my scooby thinking it was 300bhp with dyno prints.
Took it on rolling road today and it got upto 215bhp.
Well pissed off to say the least.
Taking it carnetix next week to sort it.
May be a diferent engine.
Any thoughts what it could be.
Its over fueling but would this cause a loss of 75bhp?
Thanks
Lofty.

Not sure what your problem is but when I bought mine it should have been 301 (Prodrive) but it was only making 275 ish and mine too was overfueling. Not as far off as yours but it may be part of the problem. After the remap at Scoobyclinic it went up to 340

Are both dyno charts the same , ie , wheel hp or engine hp
300whp with the mods you've mentioned would seem a little on the high side to me

hi mate, to check your turbo have a look to see what is printed on it. it should say ihi turbo in big letters on the compressor side(the shiny side) also there will be a machined flat area at the top on the face of the turbo with the spec model etc stamped in. thats if it is a vf series turbo that is.
ecu is under the passenger carpet in the footwell, maybe have a look there to see if theres any evidence of mapping?? some places mark them.
also have alook to see what injectors etc are on it, just to see if the hardware to support this stated power is there...

Certainly summat not right ,
You sure it don't say td , like scooby Gaz has said
Could be you're close to standard spec , 215 is around what you would see on a standard car

If you think you've got the sihtty end of the deal mate , go back to him and kick up a stink and ask him what he intends to do
So far it doesn't seem to be as described

If you've been running it for 11 Month and thought it was ok
I wouldn't worry about it
Just get stuck in and make it 350

what other bits has it got buddy,

k&n or uprated panel filter ,bigger intercooler, you will have 440`s as standard ,turbo spec ,

mine was done at zen and he mapped it though the ob2 port did,nt touch the ecu or foot well,i got a 16g fitted and mines at around 320bhp, for 350 you will need pinks and 18g or something that can boost to that ,

also mine boosts to 24 psi yours will be 15 at a push if 215bhp,call jolly green monster and tell him your reg and ask if he has mapped it ,won,t be the first time some one got hold of dyno print outs and wern,t for that car,

1st question you should ask yourself is how deep are your pockets. Your gonna need a good 4k to get to 350bhp mate

How do you arrive at 4k mate , not being funny ( genuine question )
I'm assuming you're talking about having a specialist doing a lot of the work for you at that price

Brand new k & n panel filter, fuel pump last month.
Standard tmic.
I rang subaru 4 u a few month ago just to check if they definatly fitted vf34 turbo and others bits, and said they did.
They also said it was mapped on an ecutec ecu.
As it says in my service history.
What got me thinking is if the engine was blown after these mods?
As when i put it on swapz bout 6 month ago someone spotted it and said they recognised the number plate and told me the engine was replaced after it blow up.

Sounds possible
Ecutek is just the software mate , not an ecu swap
If you,ve still got the same ecu it's a possibility that it's still got an ecutek map and licence already on it , if it has that's a bit of a bonus

Sounds like it's been put back to standard at that power.

EcuTek isn't an ECU, it's the software used. What year car is it? Must be 99/00?
