i'm trying to explain to a work colleague that af stripped out impreza running over 1000bhp is faster than a veron, but i can't find proof to show him.
theres a brew round resting on this - does any one know the official 0-60 time with a link showing it?
I've recorded a sub 3 second 0-60 with far less power than Andy has got, I'd suspect he's getting near to sub 2 seconds with the level of power he has and the grip from the slicks.
Awesome piece of engineering
Logs showed 0-60 =2.2 seconds including the lift off to straighten her up, 0-100 = 4.0 which included 0.8 seconds of sitting on the limiter due to me being taken by surprise and not being quick enough pulling the lever! The interesting bit was she actually ran 2 bar in 3rd, overboosting slightly due to the very low air temperatures compared to when setting up the wastegate on the dyno, so I now know what 1000bhp feels like in 1000kg if only for 1 second lol............I like it very much!
Now tell your mate to shut up and put the kettle on.......................
Andy's cars weight was around the 1000kg mark with 1000 bhp
The veyron is around 1880 kg i think with the same power.
If that's the case, you would expect the Veyron to have a distinct disadvantage, however, in terms of acceleration capabilities, how do the torque values compare?

Not sure what Andy has torque wise but a veyron develops over 900 Lbft.
I used to own a dax rush with a full hole shot racing hyabusa full raced 1450cc with cams and special gearing only thing it didn't have was the turbo 217hp but weighed less than 500kg and that done 0-60 in 3.2 seconds so I AF must be quicker
keep it up Andy
