I think he means its best to get it mapped with the decat on or you could cause problems
Some say its fine and others don't
I did the same as you and waited for mapping............ I'm now rebuilding my engine :-(

it's ok i have 6 months full warranty from a subaru dealership and you dont need to map a car because a cat has been taken out, or a re subarus not like any other car? i understand it best to map to make the most of the exhaust but why would it cause problems?

Don't mind if I take the third pass guys lol

Here it goes, to the OP............ You no longer have a warranty from your main dealer!!!

Even if you had it mapped that would be the second reason why you would have no warranty, I would suggest either forgetting about a warranty and continue on but get it mapped as these cars really don't like change unless it's mapped or if you want the warranty I would suggest after the days drag strip event i would quickly take the exhaust off, refit the standard system and wait till your warranty runs out.

On WRX you should be OK drive with decatted exhaust, but I wouldn't advise to drag the car or track the car.Do you running decatted up pipe and other mods?If yes would say, keep off the boost until remap

If you have STI decatted exhaust can be costly without the mapping
