Default Rev Gauge 10,000

Was wondering , on my 2002 JDM bug prodrive style the rev gauge displays 10k (Redline begins at 8-10). What other models were these put on ? and what other significance does it make??
I have never seen this on any other Impreza. And just trying to settle my mind about a few things.
Been struggling with this for a while (that and engine and transmission codes lol).
If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated

Piccie was taken nearly two years ago now, afetr much speculation over what this car was/is just wanted to find out the significance of the rev gauge lol.
Car has been garaged since xmas after two engine failures in two months
But with the prospect of it being rebuilt soon I want to put my mind at ease lol.

Cheers matey, sorry for all the weird questions, i presume that these were only put on a select number of batches? Just think that its a bit weird that cars which are supposed to be identical don't have the same clusters.

Mantazini just bought a JDM Sti bug and he asked me the same question as his clocks also go to 10k revs.
