Default Re-fitting recirc valve.

Evening all,

Just a quick one. Will putting my recirc back on cause any issues that require a map tweak? Car is running 346bhp on a simtek with supporting STI mods

Cheers

Why do both of you want/need to refit the recirc valve?

I've got a td05 20g and I've noticed that when I'm legally racing the car the pressure gets dumped with the dv then it has to build the boost up again instead of passing back through turbo. Plus it's so loud Hks, I will miss it

I have a recirc valve on my RB5 and have been considering a dv.

Thanks for the explanation!

Just bear in mind it is a pain in the **** to refit the valve (did mine on Saturday). If you struggle to get a good grip on the hose in to which the main valve outlet connects then know that your hand can fit under the intercooler from the passengers side and will pop up by the valve - that allows you to get a good grip on the hose as you reconnect the valve.

Will save you ages - also make sure you have a decent jubilee clip for the reattachment - simple £1 item from Halfords.
