Their website has some information saying staff have been ill, so perhaps that's why they're slow to respond:
http://www.totalcarmagazines.co.uk/
I'd been wondering why it seemed to have disappeared from the shops, but apparently the new issue was going to be published yesterday (4th) so no doubt it will be available soon.

I phoned the office on the Monday before last in the morning just after 9 'o'clock and got straight through.
Just the luck of the draw. I have got the answer phone before and the message does say something about staffing!

It's a shame as I really enjoyed the only subaru magazine on the market
Lesly the editor was really good laugh and a real petrol head too and we will miss her at the NBO as they were our main fincial backers too

To be honest I used to buy it from time to time but always found it wanting in terms of the actual content, way too much advertising and some of the articles were generic and looked like they would have been used across the whole range of 'Total' car magazines.
The only bit I really used to enjoy was the 'Grumpy Old Man' and we can get his outlook and wit on here for free.
A shame to see any business go into liquidation but sorry to say it was not the pinnacle of motoring publications.

Magazines have to carry advertising to survive. If you see one that isn't loaded with ads then you are looking at one that's failing. The formula is: mag sales cover production costs (including staff) and ads are the profit. If either drop then the magazine has had it. In the current climate Total Impreza was perhaps offering cut price ad space just to get some revenue in, and that's a doomed strategy. I guess it's back to JP and Banzai.
