Default Last few days as a scooby owner!

As title really
Deposit taken for my WRX to be picked up Saturday afternoon. However this leaves me with decisions to make, help would be appreciated.

1. Buy a cheap diesel Zafira for cheap running costs and practicality.
2. Put all the money into my engine build, cycle to work, have no car.
3. Get a small loan, Buy a TypeR, delay engine build until loan is paid off.

What would you do?

I used to do it quite a lot, giving up smoking as well so that will help with the health.

How far is your commute? Option 2 would be my choice if not too far & providing you dont need a vehicle for work (meetings etc).

Is there a public transport option?

Why did you decided to sell your WRX? To save monies?

Commute's probably half hour on a bike. I just thought I'd test the water with the WRX, and put up the most descriptive Ebay ad ever listing everything wrong with it and got an offer I couldn't refuse.
My biggest worry is that TypeR's are low in price at the moment, but may shoot up by the time I can afford one again.

Na if I get a diesel it will be an MPV, Zafira or Voyager more likely.

If the aim is to save money for a rebuild I would definately use your bike or walk or public transport as long as you have a car expense has to come into it regardless what car you buy.fuel cost, maintenance, insurance, mot, tax and that's not even taking into account if something goes wrong with it.my wife has been saving for mods for her car so she covered it up and sorned it untill next year when she will have enough money to finish it off properly, some sacrifices are worth doing.

sorry but i'm a little confused about the logic behind your car choices, zafira, voyjer or type r all gas guzlers and generally expensive to run, high tax insurance and not cheap parts.

if it's A to B and work you need just buy a £300 rover 25 or some other banger that costs next to nowt, my rover 1.4 averages around 45mpg and use the bike when the weather is ok to keep costs down, no fun riding a push bike when it's raining and freezing.

loan is a bad idea and costs too much.

Lol, well a Voyager or Zafira because I have 3 kids and mine and her family live in all different directions, so would be nice for the kids to have a little leg room. I should get 40mpg from a Zafira Diesel.
TypeR, well I've always wanted one, its whether to get one now or in a years time.

By a 306 hdi 90 if its fuel economy your after can be mapped to 130 and you can get up to 50mpg, and they also come with some nice leather interiors
