Default Mudflaps vs no mudflaps

I am considering mudflaps for my v7 sti, however part of me likes it as it is without, but are they worth it?
Also what are the best ones to get? Scoobyworld ones?
Thanks

Got mine from a Scoobyworld group buy.

Glad I got mine because a lot of road c**p sticks to them, for example I use my car daily & had to pass roadworks/re-tarmacking everyday for week. When I came to clean the car at the weekend I was amazed how much muck & tar was on the mud flaps.

Granted I used some tar/bug remover but there were still some slight stains on the flaps left by the tar even though all tar was removed, so shudder to think if these marks would have been on the car body.

Mud flaps everytime for me

+1 for mudflaps, as well as the bonus protection I think it gives the car a more aggresive look, iv got and highly rate the scoobyworld ones, rally armour are worth a look and of course there's the hard to come by genuine prodrive ones, (I got prodrive decals for mine), might as well go for the rally style flaps as well as they suit scoobs

I like mudflaps, they suit the car and do keep the crap off the bodywork. I really fancy replacing my generic blue ones with black, preferably Prodrive ones. Why are they so expensive? Obviously because they say Prodrive on them, but is the material better?

+1 for mudflaps, keeps the muck down and look good,i opted for the Prodrive ones which are expensive but fit well and have been on for 6yrs now.To buy again i think the Rally armour ones are good with your choice of colour graphic. Each to their own.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the mudflaps but without doubt they protect my car enough for me to not wanna take mine off.

i agree with that one, the stones that get chucked up the newage doors ruin the paint in no time, i found out this the hard way on an old car.

Hi Siannie I used to have a set from scoobyworld and they did protect the car and yes they looked the part but as soon as I put my coilovers on the flaps where scrapping everywhere so I had to remove mine. Good luck

how low did you go?, my car has coilovers and scoobyworld mud flaps and has plenty of clearance.

the problem with ebay flaps is they are generally sh1te, the scoobyworld ones have proper fixing brackets and instructions, those ones in the link above are held on with push clips so expect them to fly off in the rain.

you get what you pay for...........
