Mates car on flea bay , over 200 watchers, i think a good description...maybe a bit too much but better than what you see on there and it only gets to £6650

I think the market is bad,but in my opinion the problem lies with people who are prepared to sell to cheap. If they dont sell in the first week or two they panic and start lobbin great chunks off there askin price!then people think thats the going rate(my mate only paid x amount for one)and so on.The classifieds are full of scoobs at strong prices that arent selling, and the only ones that are selling are the ones that in my opinion are to cheap. If every seller stuck to there guns and stop panicking if it dont sell immeadiatley things wouldnt be as bad!

Looking at the time of his bid, he may have had a hangover on Saturday morning and quite probably no recollection of the contract he'd just entered into.
Beer + eBay = Remorse.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong though.

As a Subaru owner (I have two), I fail to see the problem anyway. Surely cheap cars are better for everyone. Makes it cheaper to upgrade

I'm on the verge of selling both our imprezas. Trouble is I can't bare to give them away.
My car is pretty rare (jdm bugeye Sti wagon) and my mrs car i guess is quite rare too for what it is, 2001 classic mica red wagon, 67k original paint and no rust even hinting!
I can't bare the thought of the "me mate Dave got one for £1500 init" what they neglect to mention is it needs a reshell for rust and it's done 150k

For both of yours you would proberly be better off breaking them. The market is a buyers market not a sellers. My 02 bug wrx 78k miles full history I gave 2100 my 52 wrx estate one owner full history 82k miles tuned wrx with document 320 bhp I gave £1800 for just a sign of the times people aren't prepared to pay lots for the car then insurance ect. Didn't help when Subaru cut 6k off the price of a brand new sti not long ago

These cars are not selling too cheap .... they are making their current values.
You may not like the values, but, they are correct ..... it's the market telling you that these cars are no longer the desireable items they once were.
Modify them and you are making them worth a whole lot less than you ever imagined - admit it, who wants one which has been messed about with?
The party is over ..... buy a powerful diesel and secure your investment

I remember when I had to sell my previous Impreza back in June 2008. I wanted £3k for it and had a member on here insisting it was worth no more than £2k. Even wanted me to drive it to his house for him LOL!
The first person that saw it paid the asking price
The market is on its **** now worse than then.

Wow I knew the market was bad but that figure is shocking, I would have have guessed a figure of around 8k before seeing the ad.
It doesnt look good that the buyer hasnt contacted you either.
