Default Alarm

My car alarm went off at 6.45am this morning and no amount of unlocking, locking, starting and stopping of the engine made any difference. I've had 1 other random alarm in 2 years of having the car and locking and unlocking the car cleared in straight away (but that was many months ago)

Any ideas are welcome?

ps, sorry to my neighbours

Its a 2003 STI,
Now you mention it the battery could be low, I've had the AirBag light on a couple of times if I only do short runs. But this clears if I do a half hour journey (for example), I'm assuming this is enough to top up a battery thats on the way out?

Key fobs have never played up so these seems to be ok, I'll get the battery changed.

Cheers
