Default Companies offering to buy Impreza STI PPP on here?

Im looking to sell my Impreza STI with prodrive pack (blob eye).
Are there any companies near York that buy for a decent price?

Some basic info:
Standard car
49k miles
2 owners
FSH
Blue
2005 with wider track

Issues: Small crack on bumper and foglight cover due to hitting pheasant. Wheels could possibly do with a refurbish.

Overall bodywork and interior are in great condition. Always warmed up and cooled down properly and runs brilliantly, just doing more miles recently so need something a little cheaper to run!

I need to sell within the next month really, i could always part ex but think i may get a better deal this way.

I may pay for membership and advertise on here but would rather not have the hassle of tyre kickers etc.

Cheers, Chris

Why do you think selling it to a "company" will get you more than p/x value? It'll probably be worse imho as companies that buy cars without selling you another one only make money on your car rather than your car + the one you buy off them too ... sell privately or be prepared for a low bid!

TX.

PS. Worst "my car is for sale and I don't want to pay to advertise it" thread ever

I may end up doing a part ex but i would rather a Subaru specialist buy the car. I don't think your average garage will know much regarding the prodive kit or wider track on the 2005 etc? I may be wrong...

What sort of part ex price would you expect me to be offered?

I might just pay for membership and advertise it, but i expect people would want me to have the bumper fixed myself and i just don't have time/money for that at the moment.

Part ex price depends hugely on what car your buying, how much that car is and how much profit the dealer has in it.
To do a straight sell to a dealer then I'd expect an offer of £5000, if you part ex it then you could get more depending on what your buying. If its a backward deal then obviously he'll offer you a lot less than if your buying a 15K car.

Take into account the dealer will have to have the bodywork issues sorted, its due a cambelt and no doubt a service, wheels need doing plus he offers a warranty. Before you know it he's spent a grand on it and he's still gotta make a decent profit.

What places are you talking about?
We buy any car .com or a specific scooby garage?

You may think the PPP kit and 05 wide track version will add a lot of value. It won't.

At the end of the day it is a 4wd sports car that costs nearly £300 to tax, a lot to insure and a lot to run. Therefore, the market for this type of car is very, very small at the moment.

Hurts to hear but it is the truth.
Sell it privately if you are after getting the most you can for it.

I recently sold my Civic Type R back to Honda and they offered almost a grand more than "we buy any car" etc, so it's worth shopping around.

Webuyanycar.com will rob you, the quote you get online changes dramatically when you turn up in person.
Avoid at all costs unless you are really really desperate.

I've got £4500 for it here in pound notes mate if you need the money fast :-)

You need to clean the engine bay, some de-greaser and a jet wash will transform it.

Part ex is a waste of time. I was provisionally offered £2800 - £3250 last week...that`s the `book` price. The dealer then said, as it looks so tidy he`d go to £3500.....I laughed.

Looks a very nice car mate. Hope you manage to get what you are asking. If I had the funds I'd certainly have had a look but the type r drains all that lol. These are very comfortable cars that you can still have a lot of fun in.
