Is the seller aware of all this?
He says any inspection welcome, I wonder if that's likely to change

the guy that repaired it for my mate fooked the repair up too.

he had a complete front end, and rather then drill out the spot welds as i suggested, it was cut through the middle and just welded on, and not straight either.

i would not pay more than £1000 for it with what i know about the car.

If you look on the pic of the paperwork you can see there is something on the bottom of the log book where they document the cat C part, can't make it out but something is written there

Is there any way you can report him to eBay, he obviously knows very well it's a write off.

He now writes:-

"On 15-Nov-12 at 21:54:46 GMT, seller added the following information:

I have recently been informed from some ebayers that this car has been a cat c write off back in 07 front end damage

I am not trying To pull the woll over anyone's eyes I have just found out and it is it a bit annoying but there is nothing I can do about it now"

SO, either the OP's mate sold it without declaring this Cat C - OR the E-Bayer is found out and trying to wriggle out of being found to be a liar!?

Ofcourse the seller knows, it will be written on the log book. He's just trying to pull a fast one because his car is worth £2500 instead of the £5000 they usually make.

Seen someone do this to my mates old Evo6 earlier in year. Was a CatC and the seller hadn't mentioned it in the advert and the Buy It Now was more than what a non-recorded example was worth!

Deffo tried to pull a fast one.......idiot.

Absolutely BULL ****

perhaps he needs to hand the garage bloke some glasses and ask him to look at the drivers Chassis, and explain why the inner wing is 1" away from it and filled with tiger seal.

and the front panel being Bodged and not straight... I have driven the car, and their is a Large number of things wrong with it, I wanted to do it all but Paul kept puting it off and in the end Sold it because it chews the cambelt within a couple of months, because the same guy that welded the front end for him cross threaded one of the idler pulleys and when he drilled it out to helicoil it was not done straight.

I am not sure if that's been rectified or not.. but i sure know the front end damage has not been done.

Also the guy bought the P1 for around £3000 because of the Damage.

I am not trying To pull the woll over anyone's eyes I have just found out and it is it a bit annoying but there is nothing I can do about it now have had the car looked over by a mechanic to check that it's safe Ect and he said it has been repaired to a high standard everything is straight and runs true so it's up to you ebayers to make your mind up about it viewing is more then welcome and Infact I would say the car need to be seen to be appreciated anybody who wants to remove there bid is more then welcome but the car is still well worth what I am after
Thanks Louis
