Really sorry to hear that mate
Totaly gutting when that thing happens.
I have been on the recieving end of having tools stolen. work tools though.

The trouble is you never catch them. They pick their moment.
Once we had a load of stuff in a huge steel container/toolbin. I saw the guy casing it all up in the distance that day. As it it had all been stolen the week before. It was locked up and bolted up top the nines. Guess what ..all gone that night.

The only way you catch the ****ers is if you trap them into thinking they can get away with doing it again and if they do have the stupidity to try again you can grip them when they do.

What pisses me off is the countless hours not to mention money searching and gathering tools from the Internet stuff I've never needed before but because I take my track car seriously and want to fix it if things go wrong the little ******* come and take it away from you .

Really feel for you mate, been on the receiving end a few times now, even out here in croatia where there is almost zero crime, i've been had by two local smack heads, fortunatly i knew where to look and the main one is half way through a 4yr stretch thanks to my detective work.

I now have a cane corso thats off to be trained as an attack dog by a police dog training firm in a few months, just in time for his release also got myself a nice 22" ontario knives jungle machett from hennie hayes for some saudi style justice if any of his pals decide to pay a visit.

Very often they will come back thinking that you have replaced the items stolen but if and when is the problem. All the best in the future.

I'm in Istria, up in the "mountains" hills by uk standards, i'm about 15km from the sea by road but i can see it from where i am, didn't want to be near the sea too many tourists in summer cluttering the place up, i'm more a Grizzly Adams type than a beach bumb. although i do love the sea and its lovely aqua marine blue and very calm most of the time, because it's not really tidal, 1m difference between high and low.

I'm sure we had this conversation about a year ago, your about 500km from me, in the bloody cold bit, i still have 15/18 daytime temps and not got the wood burner on the go yet so doing ok.
