Question New alarm system for the bug asap!!

After dying on me for a 2nd time in Taunton tonight (signal interference) I am looking at getting the original Sigma alarm/immobiliser replaced as it's basically crap.
What Cat1 would you guys recommend and who can fit it i.e. does it need to be a specialist?
Cheers!

I used to have the toad A60i IRC apparently it was good until my car was stolen.

Ask an insurer what they would say. Can only help with premiums.

Signal interference isn't a problem if you know your PIN. Unless of course you have the interference everyday.

Don't know my PIN as I would have to do a reset (seen how it's done on here) but not knowing if I can lock/unlock/start car anywhere I park is getting on me nerves! 2 complete intereferences and a few near misses i.e. intermittent interference in 4 months since I have car isn't good

However interesting how one person says OEM and the other Subaru

Clifford or toad only ones I've ever used, currently got a cobra alarm on my new one but will soon be changing out for a Clifford again, best on the market IMO anyway

Reprogramme it so you have a working pin. Then you have peace of mind you can always start it. Problem solved

We are recommending a free fix. Get your pin sorted and you will always be able to start it.

Fair enough, have found this https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...e-head-up.html and I will do it but I have one major question...

Will this override my immobiliser too so I can start the car?

Yes. That's the whole point. It's to override the Immobiliser so you can start it.
