Default A few questions about a JDM STi V5...

What turbo does it have as standard?
I can make make out Serial No. RHF5 & Turbo Spec VF.
Safe boost levels?
What modifications would be required to take it to 'stage 1'? & 'stage 2'?
What power figures are these likely to make?

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

IHI VF28.

276bhp std.

But the turbo is capable of 320-330 odd after a remap.

Your 440cc injectors and TMIC will be near to the margins at that power, but should be okay.

I'd seize the opp. to fit a bellmouth decat downpipe (and decent system if not already) too. And a new panel air filter, or decent upgrade like K&N. Plus a new fuel pump (Walbro or HRC) and new fuel filter, to be on the safe side.

Mapper Jolly Green Monster for the EcuTek remap of your exisitng ECU - sorted.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've only had a quick look at the car but have seen that its got an open cone filter and a Blitz Nur Spec exhaust system as well as a ScoobySport plaque under the bonnet which leads me to believe its already been there for a remap. Where is the cat located? Unsure if the system is just a catback or not.

Is a FMIC required for anything above 320ish then? That would mean that the car is only at stage 1 as it stands.

I'm not entirely sure. Haven't even driven the car yet. I'm just trying to identify what has been done to it so far and approximate power.

Cheers.

lol

Try it at std 276bhp first - you wont be disappointed with the way the VF28 come alive when you put your foot down!

But yeah, the limiting factor is the STi 5 TMIC and VF28 @ c.330bhp for either. Then shortly followed by the 440cc injectors, which usually max @ c.325-340bhp

I'm sure I will!

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure there will plenty more questions once I've picked the car up.
