Angry F***ing driveway.....

Parked up on the mother in laws driveway today for the first time, and when I reversed back off it, it caught the front splitter Not happy as you can imagine. I was halfway between driving back up it, or carrying on... Hmm rock and a hard place?!

Scrapping was the norm in my 206, had a ground clearance of 3cm at the bumper, useless at the best of times

Gutted for you though mate, if you fancy selling the splitter though, fell free to PM me

I like the idea of 2 spare chicks in the boot, doubt the wife would be happy about it tho.

You drove onto the drive without scraping it? If so, you may have reversed off too quick and the suspension compressed slightly.

Know the problem, i have a little route that I've worked out that involves me using the ramped/sloped part of the pavement and then turning on full lock when the front wheels make contact with the road, that gives me the nano-millimetre I need to avoid scraping my front splitter, reversing back on I go real slow. An effort I know!

You've just spoilt it for me, i had a picure in my mind of 2 fat chicks in the back of your car to lower the rear and raise the front.

Have my own blob in the paintshop this week getting the very same thing fixed....i fitted a chargespeed type splitter last year and broke it after one week lol....told the body man to not be too fussy when fixing it as it will most probably happen again!!

The joys of lowered cars i suppose.

Yep..should have taken more care!

I thought the stone chips looked bad, but it's ash from neighbours fire!! Git! Lol might just fibreglass it for time being and fix new one in the new year, with all the other bits I have planned

Get a new mother in law with a flat drive, double garage and inspection pit.

For ages I've wondered why it's called a splitter....

Now I know!

But I sympathise with your disappointment.

Not sure to be honest pal. Was on the car already.

Anyone know how many clips to take it clean off and where? Gonna take it off tomorrow but in the evening so will be dark!

If its an HT Autos one, which it looks like it is, if not either way it'll probably be bolted on, theres about 5-6 bolts underneath, and a couple of screws at the corners.
