V3 WRX STi 555 V-LIMITED no 517
As title. I have just purchased this car with the intent on restoring it. It's been in the hands of a Chav with the looks of things. Lol.
I'm starting by de Chavving it, by removing all the add on carbon items and updated parts!! "Which is almost everything !!"
So if anyone knows this car, or can help me by way of information on this particular type of ltd edition? I'd be great full.
This is pics from the advert, I will take some better pics once its stopped raining. Lol
It has now also a very poorly fitted front mount and td06 20g turbo. On the upside it came with a spare engine and vf28 turbo.

It is actually a facelift car. It's a version 3, updated front end and engine. Version 4 got the updated interior.

I always thought of v5\6 cars as facelift models; new interiors, new exteriors and phase2 engine...v4 had the facelift interior and bonnet but not the bumper or grill and phase 1.5 engine...I thought v3 cars were the same as v1\2?

It does run. Although not very well !! And yeah, the facelifted bumper didn't appear till 1999. Along with crystal lights and different engine "heads" , and management.

V3 was the first real STI, they have half a face lift so to speak without the interior as you say, but are different to v1 and 2, and have the 3 piece splitter where 1&2 don't.

Having looked at the pics, it's not a V3 because it has ABS.
