Dump valve on ej20

Dump valve on ej20
Hi just wondering wot the pros/cons of havin a dump valve, I was told that fitting 1 can lower the turbo boost pressure not sure how true this is????

I'm pretty sure that a apexi is fitted on mine, just when I was told they can poss drop the turbo boost was thinking of takin it off. Is apexi any gd?

Ah il hav a look 2 c exactly wot apexi is on there 2moro. So do u gain or lose any power from a dump valve or is it purely just 4 the noise? Sorry if this sound silly this is my 1st scoob!!!

From what i have read and taught myself, stick with what you have, i.e the OEM part.
Take advice from the some of the great people on here. There are some really knowledgeable people on here and you will soon be able to tell the differences between opinion (Buy a Supersonic, twin horn off ebay), experience (Stick with OEM) and technical knowledge (The reason why you want an OEM is because......).
If you want that big whoosh sound, buy a Renault 5

Some of us believe that VTA DVs are not the best thing for the smooth running of an EJ20 if just bolted on in place of the standard recirc.
However it is clear the way the Subaru scene is going (i.e. advice newbies don't want to hear is not welcome) so I am changing my stance to if you want one get it bolted on and happy motoring
