Default Blobeye Headlight Mod

Complete with no melted plastic for dinner

Did however notice that since refitting the lights point at completely different levels, this an easy fix if anyone knows how? Thought maybe just popping along to my nearest MOT tester to sort it might be easier?

£10 at an MOT place re-aligned my lights after doing it.

My passenger side light always fogs up if I put the cap back on it despite resealing (in the oven) several times. If I leave the cap hanging off at the back, the ventilation prevents it from happening but it's the only (small) downside of improving the looks of the car massively!

Definitely looks better, had time to kill and itll look nice with my upcoming mods. I've yet to see if they've sealed properly, should find out in the morning.

Might be best to add some silicone when resealing rather than leave the cap off, might lead to your headlight connections corroding?

Ill pop into $hit-fit tomorrow on the way home for re-alignment.

Yeah when I get time I'll whip it off again and re-cook, then will put some silicone around the edge too just for good measure!

I only mention because I couldn't help notice how pristine the lights were inside that cap, and after throwing in £50 worth of new bulbs I'd like to keep it that way lol

Driver headlight does not point the same direction as the passenger to avoid blinding oncoming cars

Lol if I deemed myself any sort of expert I would, but it's really simple, I used the how to from here/nasioc and is a really good guide. Yes my **** was making buttons as they were in the oven but at the very lowest setting and constant checking you can't go wrong...trust me lol

Did you have to buy any more mastic to real the unit or were you ok to use what was on there already?

I've found the other one I used which I found visually helpful

http://forums.sidc.co.uk/topic/13552...1#entry1290467

Had the headlights realigned today and fitted halfrauds ultra brilliance bulbs which are bogof just now

I'm gonna stick with orange bulbs, just didn't think it looked right without them...sounds silly I know lol

In regards to more sealant, I didn't need it, I actually heated the lights before screwing them back together which seams to have made a really good seal!

If I had the space at home to have a few pairs of headlights knocking around I'd definitely be up for an exchange service, it's such an easy mod!

Ive probablly done 10 sets of these over the years now bug and blob, for a £25(paint & bulbs) mod its hard to beat if you can do it.

I use a heat gun and have not fecked one yet
