Default Condensation.

Does anyone else suffer from this problem?

It's only really come on with the cold weather but when I get in the car in the morning the inside of the windscreen is sometimes misted up Would this be a seal issue or something more?

Cheers chaps

Maybe just creeping in through the vents, I get it most days this time of year.

A/C, full chat. Sorted.

A lot of it can come simply from wet coats or footwear in winter; interior warms up quickly, and it evaporates and condenses on the fastest cooling surface. Try Tetrion moisture mate to collect it if it is getting bad, but don`t for ***** sake spill it !

Common issue then it seems. It's nothing I can't live with but just wondered if it was a fixable problem.

You can get these bean bags that sit on your dash or back window, they work as a dehumidifier and absorb the moisture. After a while you will need to heat them up in the microwave or airing cubbord to 'reset' them. If not some decent micofibes clothes soon clear a window

It's the same for most cars this time if years. If you switch the vent direction AWAY from the screen (say towards the feet) when you park the car I find that this is less likely to make the windscreen foggy when you get back in

Had this on my old turbo 2000, it had some water in the boot from spoiler holes. Any slight bit of water anywhere in the car and it will do this.. I'd check it out

First off, check that you don't have the heater set to recirculate, otherwise the moisture builds up in the air from breathing.

Second, check for damp in the boot and the front carpets.

Mine does this in this cold weather. I drive it with the heaters on very hot and then open all the windows every so often, blowing all the warm, moist air out and replacing it with cold dry air.

Silicone gel , can be found in most packaging
Would need a bag the size of a cushion to absorb moisture on volume scale ( inside car) could try sticking a bowl of rice on your dash overnight ha ha
Be just as effective

I do all the normal things of switching the venting to floor and only use recirc when warming up as my air con gas is empty. No mats in the boot or foot wells are damp either. Time of year I guess, funny because I never remember it happening last year?

Keep the inside of your windows as clean as possible.. I find this helps, noticed it after the car was filthy, gave it a full detail and the windows didn't mist nearly as much.

If it's been around, ten minutes at 120 in an oven before using it.

Yo can get packs that absorb moisture from most DIY sheds, Screwfix, ebay etc, they work on the same principal.
