From their website, which basically means the new company won't help you...

Unfortunately, Scooby Projects ceased trading in December 2012. However, in February 2013 some of the former staff from Scooby Projects started up their own garage located in the same buildings. Many of the services once offered by Scooby Projects, such are routine servicing and maintenance are now offered by the new garage, and they will also be undertaking some long-term project work but not on the same scale. This new company is called AJR Automotive Limited, and can be contacted at the address below.

Don't know if this is helpful or not.

A new thread's been started which pointed to this one.

Scooby Projects Ltd only came into being on 02 Aug 2012.

Is anyone owed money from before then?
There is the possibility that they were trading as Scooby Projects (you'll know better than me) which means they would have personal liability until they turned themselves into a company.

Does anyone have an invoice from before 02/08/2012 so I can check the status of the trading relationship?

It is quite possible that they became Limited in order to protect themselves personally, but it doesn't work quite the way people think, there's more to it.

LuckyWelshchap...

Most people are owed money from before then. I'm sure someone should have an invoice but paperwork was pretty slow.

Keith has been declared bankrupt now anyway as i believe Adam funded his bankruptcy for him. So basically anyone who is owed anything can pretty much get stuffed.

I believe they became Ltd when Adam advised his mother to invest into the company (which Keith has apparently lost that money too) and Adam decided to finally declare his interests with the company on paper.

Hi Shaid.

It looks like they were in the brown stuff and used company formation as protection.
What was the business called before 'Scooby Projects Ltd' ?

I think we're probably aware that it was simply a 'personal business'.
That could have been a (legal) partnership or simply two or more self-employed people working together.

It is however the key because if Adam was an equal partner of some sort ie. not an emplyer of Keith's business he would be personally liable as well.
It is possible that the bankruptcy of Keith is similarly being used to protect Adam, especially since Adam has sponsored Keith's bankruptcy.

If it was 'Keith and Adam t/a Scooby Projects' then they're both liable.
Keep an eye on Keith's Bankruptcy.

He's not allowed to be a director of a company and there will be some assets. Even if those who lost out get 5p in the pound it's something.
Seems as though Adam has lots of money anyway.

By all means.

See the other thread but PM me if you wish.

I'm of the opinion that Adam isn't going to Eve the fact that this is about to explode.

The reason for that is he seems to be under the impression that that stories fade after a bit and everything will be hunky dory as long as he proves he is nothing like Keith.

Great shout that.
I hope it eases the way to an acceptable solution.

All the best.

anyone recognise this "ex" scoobyprojects car? Seems a bit too cheap and something is ringing alarm bells. Being sold by a girl on Facebook for 6k with a large spec list.

If it's only on Facebook, forget it.

No-one in their right mind would advertise a car solely on a social media site.

Who's the seller, and what part of the country?

That car is apparently running 400bhp on the tmic and standard airbox with a 2.1 in it. Also got AP 6 pots upfront.

Think she said it was number 32?
