Default Running lean

Hi all iv recently had the engine light come on on my 2001 bug eye wrx, and when I put it on the reader it came up as running lean on bank1. any idea why? And what causes this and what to do about it? thanks in advance tyrone

The usual suspect would be the fuel pump/Fuel pressure regulator or vac line but if you have a VTA dump valve and aftermarket induction kit fitted these can also flag up the same codes.
