As I assume you'll be using warm water in your shampoo and wash mitt rinsing buckets, you should be okay with the washing, but it may be a problem drying it off afterwards before you can polish it.
I was going to do mine today but I'm leaving it for the moment for that very reason.

Given its black and all the road scum thats about I am keen to do it even if i give polishing a miss. Can you over wash a car? Plan is to do it every week.

Snow foam is a good pre wash system.
It's contactless and pulls a lot of grit and salt off the car without even touching it. I've been using snow foam now for 3-4 years I guess. I swear by it.

I doubt they do.
It's a Karcher pressure washer attachment, and I get the 5 litre bottle of foam. It lasts ages.
I got mine here :

Did mine the other week and it was -3 when I started and worked fine.
If the polish is worked hard enough you'll be fine. If working by hand I'd give it a skip. People saying the polish won't dry is misleading as when a polish is worked properly It virtually disappears and goes clear so leaves no residue on the panel. Most people use far too much product and that's why you have it left on the panel when they think It's been worked enough.
If you're planning on waxing or sealing then make sure you put on the thinnest coat possible. So much so it should be only just visible on the panel. Work slow and do 1 panel at a time.

You'll just get mad looks from neighbors and polish will be a pain in the *** to work in properly.
I've cleaned a car before and had the snowfoam freeze during dwelling - I gave up on that as a bad job once I managed to clean the literal snow foam off of the car!
