new to scoobys and help on my model
Afternoon recently came from the darkside (passionford) and bought myself a subaru to have a play in.
Im a little confussed about the spec of it as i was told its a 2.0 turbo as on the logbook.
It has full sti body kit version 5 its a s reg by the way
red top engine diff lock intercooler spray alloy bottom arms sti clocks momo steering wheel etc but doesnt say sti on the v5 ive hpi'd it all clear numbers match etc but why does it have all the extra kit on could it be a sti any help much appriciated

What does the applied model code say. (Metal plate inside engine bay near top of strut mount) If its an import then the v5 could say a whole range of things, DVLA are not the smartest of folk

As above, VIN plate will tell you.
If it has a "diff lock" and "waterspray" as standard it will be an STi Type RA if it is 4 door or STi Type R if it is 2 door.

There is an applied model code on the vin plate which is on the passenger side suspension turret, you need to post that up, and if its an STI RA then it will also have a roof vent.

Sounds like an sti ra but without roof flap it cant be.
Imprezas have been modded so much over the years it wouldn't surprise me if it was an sti and somebody has just fitted dccd at some point.
As above, get the applied model code up and all will be revealed

well the dccd all works and has all the dash lights etc and the differant clocks ive checked all numbers etc when i bought it and its not a ringer thank god

Jap limiter is 112mph.
Gearbox code will be on the passenger side of the box on the side see pic below, with a white sticker, the code will tell you what ratios are.
VIN plate and applied model is on the engine bay inner wing Passenger side iirc.
Pics of the car will help greatly.
Also when you have the codes see here, quickest and simplest way to find info.

Uk?? If its a Jap import it will usually have a rear wiper, electric mirrors, electric ariel in the rear passenger wing, etc etc.
Pics will help a LOT more tho, of the car as a whole and gearbox code on the box and one of the engine bay etc etc.

If you've checked the code correctly then it may well just be a WRX thats had the STI treatment. Not uncommon, many WRX owners do it. Some just stick a few badges on but others go the whole hog.
I did think it was odd with it not having a roof vent.

the engine is a redtop
dccd all works it has sti clocks with the dccd bar on
two switches for waterspray one auto one manual spray
has momo steering wheel alloy wishbones
gauges on top of dash etc if some on private messages me il send a few pics via text
