Default Thats all folks..

well, come saturday morning i will be scoobyless as i have recently sold the RA. i feel its time to move on for a while and with me now having 2 small kids on board i need a more practical car and to spend more time being dad. my days of spending hours cleaning the scoob just for it to sit in my garage have come to an end. a bigger, more cost effective car is needed.

im not saying thats it for good as i will be back in a scoob in the future thats for sure but for now my time will be spent elsewhere, no doubt ill be knocking around on here as usual now and again but heres a quick thanking you for all the help over the years of ownership ive had...

some great members have come and gone and there are a few odd ***** too but all in all its been emotional.

so, pastures new are beconning and its time to get searching for a new chariot.

god knows what ill get though.

having said all this, i do recall writing somthing simlar around 2 years ago only to emerge with a v2 type ra

i cant see that happening this time though:

My wife keeps asking me to get a more practical car saying i'm "Too old to be driving a Subaru".

My answer of "You'll go first" usually does the trick !!!!!

Good luck with the search mate

Get a Hawkeye STI.
Four doors and good boot space - how practical do you need to be?
Bit juicy though.

you'll be fine as long as you have sufficiently low expectations for your next car.

be it a smokey diesel, or a horrid hybrid, you'll be utterly bored with it after a week (at most). but then, you can keep a low profile from now on, and blend in with all the other mundane euro or jap boxes, packed full of electronics & sensors that go faulty every 500 miles!

have to stop now, as I'm getting pretty depressed writing this.

gutted for you & i'm thinking about the same, but just do not want to part with it!
looking at persuading the mrs to change her car for something more practical as my scoob is our weekend car & we have 2 little run arounds for work etc it keeps the cost of scooby ownership very low so i have a great chance of keeping her this time!

Must say i have 2 young kids and we have always used the scoob as the family car, owned it 8 yrs now, not flush with money and usually put in around £35 a week in fuel. but if your a high mileage user, the scoob isnt the car for you LOL

The boot is quite simply massive and we fit more in than we do in our QashQai. Nice side step from a Scooby and you'll be helping me back into one I'm after £3400

NP mate, it's just good on fuel that's all I was thinking for you as well as being quick. Just stops you getting bored to quickly

Good luck with finding the right new motor.
