I have a 2005 WRX STI (2.0 TYPE UK). Ive just seen this on ebay and wondered if anyone can comment on this item. Will it sound much different, give increased power gains etc. My car is currently standard. Thanks guys.

looks like a cheap and probably ****ty ebay special,spend a few more quid on a decent system like a cobra one or look for a decent second hand system from scoobyspares or pole position

That up-pipe will blow the flexi

the exhaust itself it will probably be an **** to line up.

I did run one of these systems for 3 years without a problem, but bin the up pipe and keep to your standard STi, the fitment wasn't to bad just a little short for my liking, also I'm sure a bracket had to be cut off when fitted... but it is cheap so don't expect much

Same as that, on my second now on different cars, not had a problem and not holding power back it would seem

i agree bin the up pipe , with some systems the design isn't that bad and won't have a massive affect on power , ( sometimes )
The issue is usually the quality of steel , some might as well be mild steel ( monkey metal to say the least and sometimes the fit quality can be dubious
But it's cheap enough so it's no big loss to give it a go

I don't usually comment on exhausts ,( can't be bothered ) but what I will say is there's a lot of b***ocks talked about em on here

I agree, the last time this question got asked there was the usual you get what you pay for, buy an expensive one instead, blah blah blah, have any of these people actually tried one? I'm on my second and car makes good enough power, fit needs a bit of a tweak but for the money they do what it says on the box. Only thing I can think of which I don't know if it applies to all angled jap styles is the drain hole is a bit high up so water collects inside up to that point if left for a while in the wet

Bargain at 170 jst all depends on what application u plan to use it for.. paying more doesnt always mean u getting better
