Default Bored of bugeye

Had the bug coming up a year now and I'm starting to get bored with it
Messed about putting bits and bobs on it and mapping it
Just generally messing about
But now I'm undecided what to do , the options are sell/ break it
Track it and keep modding it
Don't really want it as a d/d road car
But can't think of anything interesting to do with it
It was fun messing experimenting with the mapping bit and meth/water
But brake , gearbox upgrades and general bolt on stuff is pretty boring in comparison
Any suggestions to keep me interested ?

Mate map / power / speed or whatever it will never compare to some bikes I've had
It's not the power or speed , it's more what to do with it that's gonna keep me occupied and interested

Had mine 3 years and I'm defiantly bored now, as I don't justify spending on a 6 speed box for further modding. Generally change every year
Need a good family daily drive and a track toy project.

If YOU can't think of something to do with/to the car then perhaps its time for a complete change?

I could suggest getting a 6spd box and uprated brakes etc and go for big power but you've already said that doesn't really bother you so only you and whatever budget you may have can ultimately decide what you should do and what could be interesting.

If you're quite confident and have the time/space then you could always try to vinyl wrap the car yourself? at least if it goes wrong it just peels off with little to no problems

Why not supercharge and turbo that would keep you busy.
I personally would start with an sti as a base car that's if you intend on staying with the Subaru.
Otherwise its down to you maybe a Volvo to toe the jet ski

Turbo and supercharger together would not be worth it for a small gain, it's better with one or the other not both, others have done it on other cars and it's just not justifiable for the time and money

The only advantage with starting with an Sti would be the the motor , box and brakes , I was planning on a rebuild anyway so that rules out the motor advantage , I think would rather go the ppg route for the box , so that's that advantage out the window , so it would mean starting with an Sti basically for a set of brakes ,

I was very interested when I was modding injectors , plumbing w/I , and messing with maps ect
But now it's back to mundane stuff

If you're bored of bolt-on stuff, why not teach yourself a few bodyshop techniques and attend to your paintwork/panels?

The car is a little rough around the edges so to speak, so plenty for you to have a go at - and might learn a few things along the way

You may be bored but you've actually got to find someone willing to buy a rough self mapped bug wrx :-)

Good luck.

You could always do something crazy like stick an svx motor in it.... would be a nice little project.

I've come to the conclusion ( visit my friend ditchy )
And get a fresh motor built
Strip it out ,or get a new shell , order some t45 and start getting it turned into a track car
