How many of you use your Impreza on a daily basis for a reasonable commute to work?
What sort of mileage are you getting to a tank full of fuel?
I have an 80 mile round trip everyday which is mainly motorway and fill up twice sometimes three times a week.
At some point I shall buy a nice economical daily driver but I just wondered if anyone uses their car for a reasonable commute every day.

I'm doing about 100 miles a week at the moment which is mostly sub-40mph in traffic to and from work, I'm putting in about £30 every 6 days. Not most economical car for a commute, but I don't think that's a surprise to anyone

I used to use mine everyday for a 80 mile a day commute with a one day a week 160 mile trip plus personal mileage that varied.....was filling up just under twice a week!! Used to get between 250-300 miles depending how steady I took it when running standard. Thankfully not my daily anymore since I've boosted the power as 240 miles is a luxury now!

I used to commute 120 miles a day - when fuel went over £1 / litre I switched to buying and running an old shed and only used the scoob for some fun at weekends and the occasional trip to work. Currenntly use a Y reg Primera which is a lovely pearlescent lime green

I do 60 miles a day to work and back in my Legacy GTB, £80 a week on the expensive stuff.
Been doing this in it for 5 years now, apart from a couple of months when a big end popped. Dropped a unknown used motor in it 2 years ago, and just carried on.

60 miles/day.
Commuted in the Scoob 'til last year, but its an old diesel now.
Occasionally use the Blob as a treat - & people get out of my way on the Motorways!
Yes, even the Audi & Beemer tw*ts.

On a full tank, I travel 80 miles a day - 5 days a week - mostly motorway.
At around 56 mph, I can get about 350 miles a week until I need to refill. At 70 mph I get about 300 miles.
I have a classic wagon, completely standard, apart from the Cosworth Panel Filter and I use Tesco 99.

I don't use it in my current job as the 4-5 mile trek wouldn't even get it properly warmed up. In my last job I did a 55 mile round trip, 5 days a week and would fill up once a week

I think there is no point owning a scoob if your not driving it, so the question to you is, do you want to be without a scooby, because your not the kind of guy to drive that milage in a shed, which means you'll get something decent and put the scoob in the garage with the intention of driving it at the weekends.
But after a month or so it will become a pita to get it out, and as i did with my first blob, when i had my shiny new works volvo sat on the drive you just end up jumping in that all the time, then start thinking there's xxx grands sat in the garage doing nothing plus insurance etc, so i sold it, which was a mistake and the reason i have a blob wagon as a daily and a type r in bits in the garage
Daz i told you before, you have subaru blue blood in your veins, learn to live with it.
