Maybe a topic covered before but I have had a search around with no luck?

Is it worth upgrading the standard WRX intercoller for stage 1 mods? e.g.

I have a standard bugeye wagon which I am adding the following mods before remap.

STI Up pipe
Nur spec Exhaust with decat
Air filter upgrade (located behind fog light duct)
SSQV Dump Valve
Walbro 255 Fuel pump
Prodrive 3 port boost solenoid

Should I really upgrade the inter-cooler or will the WRX one cope?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Will be OK on yours Craig,WRX TMIC is good enough for 330-350bhp

Most change when going past 300 but there is rumour that will cope upto 400 but haven't seen it myself yet, I would just change after 300 as I would feel more confident

Running 352 on my wrx intercooler.

Change it if you have the funds but really no need.

 

Oh and no need to change to a CAIK either. Standard airbox is very good at these levels.
