Does anyone buy an impreza now or have one because thea have been inspired by the legend Colin McRae?
I grew up loving the fearless 555 legend and always wanted an impreza, and bought one as soon as I could insure it!
I don't think this is the case anymore
I don't think there is a better looking car or better sounding one at that than the series McRae!
Brought mine due to that, I got it at 21 when I could insure it, played the Colin McRae games as a kid, tho most people I work with have no idea who he was
Colin McRae ps2 games were the best!
And I'm not saying everyone is a fan of McRae ,
It's just you don't seem to see many rally looking scoobs anymore.. You know with the big exhaust and graphics... Looks amazing IMO

I think many bought the classic and bugeye shapes becuase of the rallying heritage, but times have moved on, Subaru are no longer a force in rallying and haven't been for years and let's be honest the current (soon to be dead in the UK) Impreza is about as far removed from those glory days as it's possible to get!
Richard Burns also won the wrc in a bugeye which also deserves some credit .....
I do have a bueye at the moment sooo lol
Looking for a looked After low mileage classic in the next few months though And think, I'm going to go for the whole rally look

To be fair no they aren't such a big part at all anymore.. But have been and I'll always love that .. And the looks of the cars. And I don't think it is a good thing Tommy.
I know most are driven by chavs thinking they look good, but that's not all

**** look lol! They look amazing and it's about 70% of stickerd up subarus that have made people have a stereotypical view of all classic owners with graphics on

its the 70% of the stickered up sh1te thats ruined it for the rest of us owners that spend the money on proper mods like remaps, turbos and coilovers rather than stickers and fake roof vents
theres 1 round here with orange wheels covered in yellow stickers and hes about 50 and he has his name and his wifes or his bitches name on the rear side windows........really

worrying isnt it that grown men feel the need to do this to a car, the name thing is even more worrying

Dont know about that. McRae used the Hawkeye in the xgames and Travis Pastrana and Ken Block both have used the Hatch for Rally.

Yeah that's what I'm saying Tommy.
I'm not one of those.. I just love the rally look and wul also be spending money on proper mods
