Default More noise please!

Ive recently purchased a 2007 Sti which came with a Prodrive back box. Im after a little more of the Subaru sound and have been looking at this -

Would this give me the desired effect? Im assuming so as I would be losing the resonated centre section. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions but as much as I'd love a whole new exhaust, all my funds are going into sorting the suspension. I'm looking to improve what I have for a small budget.

I have the Prodrive wr sport bb,not the loudest but i have a straight through center and 2nd decat, so that makes alot of difference for little money.

Got some CDF front and rear arb's, front and rear drop links and an anti lift kit on order via the group buy section. Massive savings to be had there. Looking to probably get some BC coilovers too.

Uprating to RCM headers made the nicest noise change with mine, didn't make it louder, but gave it such a deeper rumble. Awesome.

Managed to win a brand new afterburner de-res centre section on eBay. Will post my findings when I've fitted it.

Biggest noise improvement will come from a decat IMO, if your just after a bit more noise then a decent backbox will be up to the job, or a straight through cat back system if funds allow and not wanting a remap to remove the cats, but as said for the full effect of the Scooby rumble then a full exhaust is required along with ripping out the cats (3 on wrx, 2 on the Sti) and I found the smaller the backbox size, the deeper and noisier the car is, RCM headers are not really needed before exceeding the 400 marker so may be a bit overkill, a set oe ported headers along with a decent uppipe something like a Harvey smith item would see you better gains than the tubular headers before that point

Got back from 'engine tuner' earlier having been down for a major service and centre pipe fitment. Unfortunately, we discovered the front brakes were shot and both pads and discs needed replacing too. Car feels better and also sounds better now. It's still subtle but has a deeper, slightly louder growl to it. Thankfully, it appears only a little noisier when up to speed and isn't intrusive in anyway. I'll probably decat in the future and change to a more aggressive rear box, but for now, I'm happy.

Little update, had an Afterburner Raptor fitted this afternoon. Sounds miles better, but maybe a tad too loud, my ears were ringing a tad after a short 10 mile journey. Am tempted to swap the non-res centre section back to the standard res one, maybe that would be the best solution!
Also, maybe i'm imagining it, but I feel like there could be a little loss of power? Anyone running this setup on a Hawkeye Sti and can comment. Thanks.
Anyway, here's a little pic:
