To sell or not to sell? Advice please :-)
Hi all
I have a 2007 model STI Type UK (last of the real saloon's) in Blue of course
I bought it from new and have loved it and looked after it from the first day I drove it until now
I had the pro-drive fitted as soon as it was available but no other alterations at all.
All services and any paint touch ups that have been needed have been done.
I am now at the point of buying a new car and dont know what to do with her now?
Do you think if I keep it the value will go up after time or do you think I am better off selling it now?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated
Thanks for your help
Andy

It depends on what you're replacing it with? Is it as nice & as fun?
I think it will be a long time before they go up in value. The classics are at that point now (in my humble opinion) but they are the "classic" iconic impreza after all.
The later blob eye Sti with dccd & wide track are the best all round complete package as far as uk spec impreza's go.
It's a difficult prediciment but it all depends on your position. Can you afford to keep both? The flip side is if you sold this mint 1 owner example, then later decided to go back to one, would you ever find one as nice & well kept as the one you currently have??
It must be nice to be in a position that you could keep both!

if you keep the car for longer than 5 years then it can only go up in value,as itll be a very sought after car, i sold my escort rs turbo 8 years ago for £2000 when they were 10 a penny, they now sell for £4000-£6000 for a decent one,as they are now classed as a future classic

Many thanks for all your suggestions
I think I will keep it after all 😄
I think if I sell I would in fact regret it as there can't be many around as good as this one
Maybe I will just let her out in the summer and on special occasions
Thanks again
