Thumbs up DIY PPP

Any advice is appreciated guys....

Right I've got a standard wrx 05 blobeye, I've kept it standard since I bought it in 09, nice car with full leather etc. but I recently wanted that but more noise and grunt.

I've had the prodrive back box fitted which sounds nice and seems to of give it some extra life, I've just got the prodrive mid section de cat pipe and to finish it off the silicone y pipe. However I'm contemplating if to get the ecu remapped. As I'm new to Scooby modding I just want to see if it's worth it.

As the car is say roughly 225-230 standard what power gains will I see with the decat pipe, back box and hose?

And what should I expect with a ecu upgrade and a rough cost?

Thanks
Al

Fit a prodrive sports cat or go full decat, walbro fuel pump and a remap you will see up to 290bhp on the standard td04 turbo. The PPP is just the back box, silicone intercooler y pipe and an ecu chip on the wrx, going to around 260 bhp. A proper remap is much better, will see you more power and be tailored to your car

Thanks, the ppp also has the replacement decat pipe as well .I know if I go with the downpipe aswell I'd get some good power but I don't think I can bothered if the mot issues!

Someone said as long you keep the downpipe on and only replace the mid section cat with the decat pipe, it would add some extra power(not loads but a bit more) but still go through mot, I do think a fuel pump upgrade is a good idea though.

I'd think I'd be driving a rocket if I go for the ecu upgrade aswell, but I think I will end up doing it!

Cheers al
