Default help your opinion on a import!

hi

some of you may know am on a hunt for a wrx and came across this one which am thinking of viewing later. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/subaru-imp...98090964%26Its
in Mica red which i quiet like but being a import and class as a GL will there be a problem or anything to look out for?

Has anyone owed this car before of know someone that did. The owner said he got it from Penine Subaru, anyone had any dealing with them?

is it worth a look or best avoid?

thank you

William

I certainly wouldn't insure it as a gl for a start.

Not a jap import but might be from Holland like mine.........should have a Euro Certificate of Conformity (COC) The handbook PDI will also be stamped as a Euro.

Virtually the same as a UK model apart from alarm.

No radio mast in the a-pillar marks it out as a MY02 WRX....with a few bits added LOL

Asking price is somewhat optimistic

The first Bug WRX's had the radio mast in the a-pillar, later bugs (and all STi's) had the radio aerial incorporated in the rear window heater. Therefore manufacturing year likely 2002 (MY02)

I's been colour coded, jap lights, Morette type high rear spoiler, exhaust change, side markers changed, induction kit (hopefully re-maped), wheels painted gold, four pots look red at the front.

Having said that, looks on the surface like a clean enough bug

Personally, I would run a mile from any seller that promotes insurance fraud.

Docs on display shows last sale September 2009 with 10 owners............... Personally I'd look elsewhere.

Nice colour (my wife's GL - as in real GL!) is the same. Gorgeous.

Apart from that complete nightmare at every level.
