Very nice - the alloys from the bug look much better on there than I thought they might.

i had a forge dump valve on mine when i bought it and it ran like crap, removing that and replacing the MAF made a world of difference

How long have you had that car, Kez?

I recall going to view it somewhere around Watford last May, it popped up on Autotrader and I remember it was in very good nick for the mileage.

hahah yes i did buy the car from watford ,,,,,bit of a trek for me but was well worth it yes it has done some miles ,but has been serviced very well over the years and the body work is near faultless ,even had the subaru cassette player in when bought it ,,,,,,i took a chance on it with 160k but i reckon it had done most that on motorway and never been abused .......car hasnt missed a beat since ownership . i purchased it from exclusive autos .they have a white STI import still there thats been there a while and also looks very good. my car was up for 1950 then reduced to 1450 and i offered him 1100 and he took it with out no argument.

was filthy in there yard but they sent it next door to the kosovans for me to be valeted it came up like i couldbnt believe .......all it needed when i bought it was a knock sensor as it was kicking back on way home half way threw boost ...and that worried me as thought oh no i bought a ****ter as it was my first scoobie and didnt have a clue what was wrong but after joining SN and finding the problem using the fault code. i swiftly corrected it and fitted a new knock sensor and has been right as rain ever since

You've done very well there - I did notice it had gone down 500 quid, and I did think about going for a second look - at any mileage, a 99 Impreza for 1500 quid isn't a bad shout (unless there are wheels missing, or there's a lion in it).

Good to know I wouldn't have bought a shed had I plumped for it. I don't mind taking credit for the assist

Now all you need to do is freshen up the external appearance...

Buy an adjustable 22mm Whiteline rear ARB, set it to the middle hole and see how you go. Probably the most cost effective mod for a classic there is.

After that ported standard headers with a matching Harvey up-pipe, decat, panel filter and a remap

removing all the orange bits from your lights; swap side repeaters for black or clear, sti rear lights and Silvertech indicator\side repeater bulbs all round to ditch the fried egg look

Your rear lights are red, orange and clear.

The STi rear lights are just red and clear - http://www.scoobybits.co.uk/shop_stylingexterior.htm
