Thanks guys, yeah planning to do the black headlight mod an de-tango, maybe fit Xenon's too while im at it.
Any good induction kits recommended? The car has a re-circ and has no blow-off valve noise, and if im honest, I want this noise!

Not sure as to the exact reason-maybe old stock lying unsold till 2006. Maybe someone can shed some light- Ive got a 2006 Blob STI as well and would like to know
Sweet looking car Ryan STI, its so...black

Same goes for dump valve, re-circ is the best way. All a BOV does is make a silly noise and often brings its own issue along the way.
Id suggest -
Decent panel filter,
Full S/S exhaust system with sports cat downpipe (or de-cat)
3 port boost solonoid,
Mapping session.
Add in the headlight mod and you'll have a stunning looking car with pretty decent performance and a bhp figure far exceeding your current one.

That looks sweet fella, as said above I would leave the standard air box in there. My brother had an induction kit and dump valve put on his stand STI and it went though 2 MAFs in 2 years and even lost him power. Oh and I also have a 2006 blobeye, I think they all had to be registered before March 2006.

Thanks guys, is there anyway I can get the BOV noise, sounds silly but I do like it, and its the only thing im really missing from the car, I dont want a atmos one, so would be sticking with the re-circ, but thought an induction would release the BOV noise through that, I would have thought this was a safe option?
Are the HKS Sequential's any good?
Regarding the wheels, im not too sure what they are, there 18" but I will find out the exact make etc soon. Oh and for those that are interested... They will be for sale shortly
PM if interested

You dont need an induction kit buddy, stick with the standard airbox and add a decent panel filter. Induction kits often bring unwanted problems and are really only required when going front mount.

Lovely looking car though dude

Nice car, cool filters you've applied to the photos too!
Induction kit wise it's not worth it in my view, you won't gain any power and you'll be drawing warm air from the engine bay - stick with the regular Subaru air ducts and air box, just put in a new filter.
I have the silver version of your car and am also going to go down the Xenon's route. Halfords are doing them at £25 for a pair. For some reason I thought these cars came with HIDs but clearly not.

The HKS one you mention is an atmospheric one, its not something I'd want fitted but many people have them. Just be sure to buy a genuine one as the likes of ebay are riddled with fakes.
If you really really want that noise then fit a dump valve that releases the air into the atmosphere, many impreza owners have them and don't have any problems. Some suggest getting the car mapped with it fitted so maybe get yourself a panel filter, sports cat downpipe and 3 port and then get it all mapped in at the same time

There are two kinds of dump valves. One recirculates the air back into the system (no noise, which you currently have) and the other releases the air into the atmosphere causing that noise you want.

I dont really want the induction for power reasons, its purely the fact that this will amplify the BOV noise in a safer manner than an atmos.
Anybody know of any related issues to atmos or induction then on the STi?
Thanks for all the nice comments guys.

The best.

Check the video out at the bottom of the ad.
Sure that car has a Nur Spec R fitted too.

Thanks mate, this one is registered in Feb06 (55-Plate), they did the widetrack upto March 2006 then they did the Hawkeye facelift 2.5ltr
I think theres more to it than just the bulbs buddy, theres a kit available thats been used on here and comes with cat eye projectors, ballast, bulbs, ignitors etc.
Yeah I know about that, but one thing I dont is the 3-port??

Here is a photo of the TurboSmart Supersonic blow off (atmospheric) valve my car came with (now replaced with a original).
If you do replace yours with a new blow off valve the first two steps are dead easy: When the recirculation valve goes in it connects (1) directly to the intercooler, (2) through the small rubber hose you see in the photo, but for the last step you need to remember to have a little blanking plate/cap (shown in my picture hiden below the valve and the intercooler).
You have an atmospheric valves and get the noise you want, or have a recirculation valve and don't get that noise. No amount of air filters (or lack of) will give you that atmospheric "whoosh" sound from a Subaru re-circulation valve.
I think you will get six of one, half a dozen of the other regarding dump valves here. My only suggestion would be that if you get a dump valve keep your ears peeled for the day it stops working and allows air back through the turbo. It will make a weird **** noise - I took a video of youtube as an example - many people argue that this will damage your car.

Thanks for the advise guys.
If anyone's interested, I'm selling these wheels now, and also will be advertising 2 performance exhausts (one being a RaceBox) and a standard exhaust soon also!
