Default New spoiler with perrin braces keep or remove

Hi all have been waiting to find a STI spoiler in the right color (Starlight Sliver).
Finally picked one up today complete with boot lid so well pleased
no drilling extra holes or messing about
Took just 20 mins to swap over
I am now not sure what to do about the Perrin spoiler braces
they dont look to bad to remove (two screws on the top and double sided tape on bottom)
Guy i got it from said i was mad to remove as they are expensive and lots of people wanted them
but i am not sure.
whats your thoughts

Depending how they stuck the lower edge of them down removal might not be an option.

That looks like Tigerseal, will probably pull some laquer or paint off when you try to remove them.

Not a fan of them, I'd try and get them off without damaging the car!

I don't like them either and I'd remove them if it was me.

I have them on mine ( came with the car ) I like them although mine are a sh*te fit aswell mine only have double sided foam tape holding on but the front of them wobble about when driving as mine stick up at the front aswell.

I would say try and fit them better and keep, if you took them off what would you do? Fill the screw holes in the underside of the wing? The little holes they left would annoy me more than the stiffies tbh.

The fitment looks ****e, I would remove and refit or just remove, Looks a mess in that state.

I love the look of these fitted but i run a RCM Vain spoiler that looks as factory as they come.

I have them on my car and fitted them myself .The spoiler was repaired as they can crack in the top corners. The Stiffis prevent this and stop them wobbling about at speed too.

2 is restrained I think. Looks like Crystal Grey in the photo BTW. Nice colour and good call changing the boot to go with it.

Did you change over the torsion bars too or does the boot like to smack you in the head?

Yes it's crystal grey
And no Have not changed anything else
Just the boot lid
It stays up ok but drops hard when lowered
Maybe best to get the bars to match

I bought them from somebody they were new but he had put the tape on the stiffy instead if on the lower spoiler. There supposed to be fitted with tape as the spoiler forces them into lower part keepimg them in Place.. If u take them off you just put blue stickers over the screw holes like when it left the factory. I had it to 140 and they never wobbled suprised they wobble now

The stiffi's are not a great fit. I had some rubber shoes made up for them to sit in.

As time went on the rubber shoes have moulded to the contour of the spoiler even better than the pic shows.

I was foaming when they arrived and the tape was already on. Was a nightmare to line them up. There is a video on YouTube some yank showing u how to fit them. I always intended to refit them but ya no what's its like haha.

I love it mate. Never gets dull people looking at me thinking how's he got that haha. Miss the scooby but in time al have a classic type r. ;-) bet u haven't been them speeds yet haha
