Gearbox issues

Default Gearbox issues

Please Help me. I have a 2001 wrx and i've broken 3rd gear, My box number is TY754VN2AA dose anyone know if a TY752VRCAA box is a direct replacment or do i need a diff to make it work or can point me the direction of anyone who might know.Thanks

Not sure about the diff, but your better off sourcing another TY54 box as they are stronger than the TY52, so if you broke a 54 then the 52 probably won't last long.

Some mechanical sympathy is required on the 5 speeds.

I had an idea that was the case, there are way to many diff boxes out there.Ive been offered the TY52 for £60 delivered and a TY54 if i can find one there £400 :-(
